About Me

Gilded Cakes by Patricia: My love for cake decorating began when I was 12, after my first Wilton’s cake decorating class that I took with my mother. Later I was able to apply my skills in the pastry department at The Claremont Resort and Spa, a four star hotel in the Berkeley Hills. I also became the sole producer of pastries for the Paragon Restaurant and Bar at the Claremont during it's inaugural year. I left the Claremont to become a full-time student at U.C. Berkeley. Now with a family, I try to stay current with new decorating techniques by making cakes for family events. I am familiar with many cake decorating techniques and I am open to trying out any design that suits the occasion and the imagination!
